Route your tips?

Whats up guys. I know we all love these threads but I need to see some light. I have to get something done with my exhaust. I had my piping un tiped for over a year now, waiting for the time to do them. I have a idea of what I want but I get those little "is that the right thing I want". So if you got a 04-08 F150 and have a nice shot of your exhaust tip setup post them please, and let me know what size tips your using Thanks everyone!

I love my 4x18 Magnaflow rolled tips and I especially love side swept out the back on these trucks.

No, I cut the rears out since they were not O2 monitored. Yes, much louder now. Check it out.

Before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hA4b2...e=channel_page

After: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4ptC...e=channel_page

And since they weren't O2 monitored, no CEL.

Darren what about your performance. When you deleted the cats did you loose some HP? or even when you went some single to true dual you loose HP? I kinda liked the sound of the stock cats and true duals but you can seriously tell when you deleted the cats! Nice setup Darren, do you mind if I ask how old you are?

Yeap, boy was that fun Well, the first time we tried it it wasn't, I bought a cheap *** blade, got 3/4 through the pipe until it broke off, so I went home with a exhaust leak, then the next day my bud & i bought the best metal blades my hardware store had, got em out like butter.

I gained 0.2mpg, but i'm unsure of if I lost anything or gained. I can say that I think its a little quicker than before, my 0 - 60 is like 8 seconds, first time I tried a 0 - 60 run ( all stock ) it was 9 seconds so, woohoo.

Hey Darren correct me if I am wrong, but didn't only the 04-05 have 4 cats? So for my 08, if I put on a flowmaster or magnaflow with the stock cats, will it sound similar to yours with out the rears?

Thanks

Darren's just running the precats (much smaller), there's a fairly large difference between just precats and your stock cats. It wouldn't sound near the same without going true dual, you'd need to get rid of the y-pipe too and run it to a pair of mufflers, or at least get a DI/DO muffler. If you went true dual, you'd probably sound more like mine than his considering you have the 2 larger cats. I'm cutting my high flows out tomorrow or thurs. (current clip in sig)

Here is the actuall picture of the actual truck that I printed off and gave to the first installer of my maggy system.

I loved the look of the dual exhaust ran on this truck. I had the guy do mine the same way so just imagine that with no tips and the 2.25 pipe there. My installer left the dang pipes so low as he ran them to the bumper that you can see the pipes clearly behind the wheels and they look rediculously stupid. The setup is suppose to be for 8in or shorter slant cut tips and using those tips you will see all that nasty piping then a nice pretty tip. I just found this picture actually on a old disk so im going to take it to my new installer and see if he can fix the setup cause I fell for it all over again! Now if I could just find some 8in stanless steel tips!
