i have had the flowmaster 40 series for over a year now and one of my friends just bought a truck and put a super 44 on. he says he is taking it back to the shop to have the resonators taken out. is this true? do flowmasters have them? if so what will removing them do? and is it worth it?

the mufflers themselves have nothing inside them to remove. he may have had resonators put on in front of the mufflers to help with the drone or quiet it down some.

 

These trucks do not come with resonators, nor do the Flowmaster mufflers. If he is unhappy with the sound, he needs to get hi-flow cats installed
