Roush o/r videos minus rear cats needed please

I have seen all kinds of videos of the roush o/r for the 04^ 5.4s but I haven't seen any without the rear cats or with high flows. I have pinpointed the system I wan't for my 04 is the off road roush, but I think I want to remove my back two cats but just haven't heard any. I want some noise and bet it sounds bad!

Thanks

Good luck on that. I've been waiting forever to hear that type of combo. Hell I've been waiting for a high quality Super 44 with tailpipes video but haven't really heard one yet.

I was going to but every shop was telling me to at least wait for the factory warranty to wear off the on the cats which every single cat is covered for 80k or 8 yrs. So once I hit that mark then I will get it done.

To most, the Roush Off-Road is loud enough as it is, it is quite a loud cat-back, louder than most Flowmasters even, its not cheap sounding loud like most Flowmasters, its a real deep and rich toned loud. Tampering with the cats just seems unnecessary to some people with the Off Road system.

Well something like that I vote against. Changing cats will void the warranty for exhaust yeah, but who cares when you have a cat-back/custom exhaust on it already? Magnaflow cats are direct flowing and stainless, so they will never clog up on you and never rust out.

Very true, I guess part of me is also concerned about throwing cel. I really don't want to be throwing cel, but I believe it would be fine if I have the o2's placed after the maggies right?

I thought that if I were to take off the rear 2 cats that I would gain a little bit of torque, I thought that I read htat somewhere. Also for the noise, which I don't mind since my last Chevy had 3" straight pipes which I loved (for a vortec)!

Only thing my rear cat delete gained was economy, and sound. Torque died out a tiny bit. And yes as long as the rear O2s are after the hi-flows there will be no CEL.

How much mpgs did you gain out of curiosity? I would be happy with that. I'm already happy since I get 16-17 without pulling my trailer. Its kinda mixed driving though since I live in the country.

I wasn't planning on adding high flows, just taking off the rears and installing a stainless straight pipe. There is no O2 behind my rears, only infront of the rears, thus should not throw a cel. I was going to leave the fronts alone for now.

0.2mpg was my gain, I went from 16.2 to 16.4 mpg average. That'll be good, pre-cats flow just fine, and are about as loud as hi-flows. I'm happy with my setup.
