rite now i havea flowmaster 40 series si/do, was wondering what magnaflow was louder? i hear the super 44 was louder than the 40 but everyone says magnaflow is better for power so i would like to switch

 

Flowmaster is definitely louder than most Magnaflows since theres baffles inside, and the Magnaflows have packed wool. My system is just as loud as most Flowmasters with stock cats though. The Super 44 is the loudest 2 chamber muffler you can go with, and the best sounding too imo. If your in need of your performance, try the Magnaflow 14" SI/DO, you will lose your Flowmaster noise but you will have a decent Magnaflow one. If your 40 is shot and your looking to replace it and want to retain your loudness, Super 44 SI/DO.

 

If you want louder, go with a 11in body or shorter if they make a si/do.

 

I say go to the super 44.

 

I had a flowmaster 50 series delta flow on my '07. I just had a magnaflow 6"X18" installed on my '09. The magnaflow is definately louder. Maybe too loud....haven't decided yet.

 

Unfortunatley Magnaflow has not produced a SI/DO 11" body, just SI/SO and DI/DO
