I cannot seem to find any companies that are making intakes for the 07-08 f150 4.6 v8's....

I keep seeing they are only made for the 04-06 f150s. I know there is a difference because my volant intake i had on my 05 does not appear to fit my 08 because the intake manifold is about 4 inches lower in the engine bay.

Maybe i am not making sense but has anyone else had this problem??

Here is my 05 f150 4.6 with my volant which I would love to put on the new truck but my 08 the engine sits lower in the engine bay...

 

i think they made a change in 07. in my 08 4.6 - i got the AFE with the dry flow filter and i really recommend it. most intakes are the same (gains wise) but i like the fact the filter is not oiled. look on ebay, that's where i got mine from.

i do notice gains up top. it pulls better. but since i do not have a tune, the initial lag is still there and the 1-2 shift sucks.

i did not notice any mileage change, but i also installed 23's the same day

 

S&B also makes one for your truck. Personally I think they make a great intake system, and it is also customizeable

Yes you can. If you had a 5.4L 3v you couldn't ue to the MAF, but with the 4.6L 2v your safe.
