Something louder that a 10 series

I currently have a flowmaster 10 series on my truck and to me it really doesnt seem that loud. I know that i can always switch out my cats to high flows but really cant find a muffler shop that is willing to do that. I live in an area where i have to *** emissions so i have to have a muffler of some kind on there or at least appear to have a muffler. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what to do to get it louder?

I dont know of anything much louder than a 10 series, not even straight piped. 10 series or Cherrybomb Extreme would be my guess, but the Extreme is built cheap.

Would a glass pack be louder. I know at first it wouldnt be but after it blew the packing out wouldnt it be almost like a straight pipe? I am just worried about how that would sound though.

Glasspacks sound cheap, the 10 series will sound much better, and last much longer. As for loudness, I think the 10 series would be louder due to its all steel in a chamber design.

Real good actually. But, the idle is much quieter than the 10 series due to the Bullet is a straight through muffler, but the 12" bullet is quite sound, with a nice deep roar to it. Quite different than the 10 series rumble, but I think the 10 series will still have the win on loudness.

dude i use to have a 10 series that went to a y-pipe and dual tips and I replaced the muffler with piping and kept the y-pipe and tips and it is louder and much deeper at high rpms...I was always really tired of how high the 10 series got to sound if u heard it from a distance when u floored it... Straight Pipes are what you want.. trust me because I was in the same situation as you are.

woops didnt realize u had to have a muffler...i guess your bet is high flow cats...that would prob make it louder and deeper and then you could alawys get bigger tips.

Find a guy that can weld and just get them to replace the cats instead of dealing with an exhaust shops bs. Can you run cutouts in your area?

Not as long as the rear O2 is mounted after the new converter within 6"s, and you go with part # 94106, 94006, or 94306.
