Exhaust Tone: SIDO vs. True Dual
Exhaust Tone: SIDO vs. True Dual
I currently have 2 Maggie High Flows into a 3" midpipe, into 18" SIDO Maggie muffler, into 2.5" tails. What am I looking at in tone if I changed to 2.5" ture duals; x-piped, into 14" mags?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Heres a video of a couple Chevys, same mufflers, left one SI/DO, right one true dualed. Thats the note true dual makes.

The 14" bodies will be a bit louder, and the true dual will rumble much better.

I went true-dual on my 5.4L with 2.5" piping throughout.. x-pipe, 2 14" round bodies, and 2 18" 3.5 tips, all magnaflow.. check my sig for clip
It sounds pretty good to me.. quiet enough to be tolerable on highway, but loud enough when I want it around town..

i had trouble finding 11in maggies so i went with the dual si/so 14inch magnapacks, check out my video, its a cold start though so its pretty poppy.
