Magnaflow 16608 Reviews or Opinions

I'm thinking of getting the Magnaflow 16608 system for my King Ranch.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/d...rtnumber=16608

I have a Gryphon on the way but have not had a chance to call Bill at Gryphon to see what he thinks.....I'm sure a few of you have spoke to him about exhausts.....what are his general views...or your's on cat backs....

There are no regulations here permitting the removal of the cat converter....so that could also be an option...then run a true dual.

Or....I was also wondering if it's worth installing a Magnaflow Universal catalytic Converter-High Flow 2.5" In/Out, 13" Body Length part no. 94106 along with the 16608 system....I'm overseas so i can't measure the stock cat converter...is it 13" long?? Would this be worth it.

Any info or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have the 16608. It looks really nice on the truck. It's a little mellow unless you're getting on it. So if you want LOUD...I wouldn't get it...maybe look for a 14" instead of an 18" muffler. I like it-

As for the cats...you'd have to check with some others on here. You have 4 cats from the factory- so it's not as simple as just replacing one. I think you can remove the back two and put high flows for the first two. I could be wrong on that...don't quote me. If you're going to go through all that, then you might as well run true duals and x-pipe them with mufflers of your choice.

Not on a 2006+. Only has two cats. Need replacement hi-flow cats.

Thanks for clearing that up Darren. There needs to be a forum where people just ask you exhaust questions- ha.

I must be losing it because I didn't even reply to your question

The 16608 cat-back will be a bit calm but its a great quality kit. I think you might be happier with the 14" body though. You could get hi-flow cats, part #94106 is a 9" body, 94006 and 94306 are 12" bodies, those three are the only ones that will properly work. Your stock cats are 16"s long I believe, I dont have an 06+ so dont quote me on it, one of the '06+ owners needs to report a cat size. I peaked under a 06+_ truck once and estimated 16"s, then I got up from the ground before I looked suspicious in the parking lot
