Thumbs up totally stock 4.6L V8 with a Flowmaster 40 Delta - vid inside

Justr wanted to share my story for anybody who is on the fence about slappin on a flowmaster:

woke up this mornin and decided it was time to schit or get off the pot. Been wantin a cool sounding muffler for years but just got my check from a new job and today it was time.

called around, Meineke would do it for 179 + tax during the week (which i can NOT do cuz im a cable guy and only have weekends off, so I called Midas. Guy told me that he could put in a 40 series delta flow for $250. SOLD.

I know I could shopped around for a better price but i am an impulsive shopper

Very happy with the result. My truck is totally stock, didnt change around pipes, add tips or any of that fun stuff. Just got a SI/SO. It used to be silent but now its got just enough grumble for me. Im 32 so I dont need any more hassles with cops or pissed off neighbors. I noticed that I have to push the gas MUCH less than I did before to keep her goin. All the scares about power loss, etc were not true - at least in my experience. It actually gets quieter the faster you go and feels much more responsive now actually.

WIsh my camera's mic was better, the sound is really beefy. My parents even said," damn that sounds mean"
Heres the vid. Have a great weekend!

Chambered mufflers do not break in. There is no rock wool inside.

Yeah it will mess with your head a little, you'll forget how good it sounds. Some soot will settle in the corners of the mufflers changing tone minorly, but these engines dont pollute as well as the GM engines do so it wont help out that much, or make the interiors of the tips nice and black which I wish mine were.
