Duals

i have an 04 f-150 5.4, mods i have put on it so far is airaid CAI, Edge Evo and have gone full synthetic in the motor and rear axel. i want to put a magnaflow exhaust. i was thinking and X pipe and two 11" magnaflows. would that be the best for my truck. in the future i am thinking of adding headers and a custom tune for the evo. truck really moves with the evo setting on 3. just need that mean sound for it any help will be gladly taken

he did away with his rear cats i don't now if i can do that in Texas

Yep I got the same set up, but pulled my rear converters to free up restriction, and turn the volume up more.

Thanks for providing him the video Hoss Wow it was much quieter then. I would imagine it would be a bit louder with the stock cats after it breaks in more, but noit quite as loud as it is with pre-cats only.

i want to go with a 2.5" pipe should i go bigger?

Never go larger than 2.5" on true duals.

i know you say to use 2 1/4 inch pipe. my question is what kind of sound difference will there be between the 2 1/2 and 2 1/4 inch pipe.

2.5" sounds great, 2.25" cracles and pops more.

i live in san antonio, how do i find out if i can take out the rear cats with out messing up my inspection? where can i get a custum tune for my Edge evo? how much do they cost? from what i read i guess my truck is running lean with the CAI and the edge programer?

Wherever they dont check emissions, and wherever the inspector doesn't peak under neith and count the cats.

Best off with an entire custom tune, but I am not really sure. Call Edge?
