Time for a change

well i put a borla muffler on my truck it sounds ok but iam thinking about a single chamber muffler like a 10 series from flowmaster or something along the lines of that, will i lose any bottom end i acutally think i lost some low end tq with the borla

well if you decide to get rid of the borla. let me know

a 10 series will be alot louder, thats about it

yeah iam also looking at pypes the have one called the m80 iam really going for more of a mustang sound i had a cherry bomb extreme and it sounded damn good it was really loud while cruising around thought

The 10 series will be much louder since the Borla is not broken in, but wont sound as clear as the Borla.

You will go through 100 flowmasters before that Borla shows sign any of wear or rust.

yeah i know the borla will last longer but the pypes m80 iam looking at is 304ss and its 60 bucks, so yeah it will last long to. The borla is broken and it sound ok but i want more aggersive tone. I think the tip is what makes it sound funny

well it looks just like the tips on the new superdutys with the 6.4, but its ss. its about the same lenght there not that long plus i have hi-flows. Well i just found some slp loudmouth 2"s on ebay for 60 bucks there seeling cheap cause the over polished the welds

That was my thought before I finished reading his post. Borla/Roush is hard to beat for perfomance.

I do like the Flowmaster sound, I'm not sure that can be matched.

True, but a straight through packed muffler sounds so deep and clear, and can be as loud as the Flowmasters, just not at idle because the baffles in them make that sound.

There was a guy with an '03 5.4 that did those true dualed, sounded pretty good.
