High Flow Cats

Ok, I have decided against the direct fit cat replacements, my question is if I was to put on the Maggie 94106 cats, do I remove all 4 cats and replace with 1 94106 per side and omit the elbow cats?

Exactly. Just cut out the 4 old cats, and weld in the new maggies. If you get the hiflows that have the O2 bung already mounted in them, you may have an issue with clearance for the heat shields when you try to put the O2 sensors in. I learned that the hard way. had to cut a gap in the pass. heat shield. If you get the hiflows without the O2 bung in them you will be fine. Also keep your old cats and take them to a scrap metal dealer for some free $$$. I got $200 for mine, cost of new Hiflows $140, only mod I ever did that I made a profit on.

Do not buy cats with O2 sensor mounts in them. Have the shop re-mount the rear sensors after the hi-flow cats.

Right now I have the rear cats deleted, with 1 high flow per side does that make it much louder? (I'm pretty happy with it now).

Yes, replace with 2 high flows. Here's a video of mine so you can hear the noise level. I was happy with my sound before but the high flows made it better. See sig

I know its louder with the rear cats removed. I was wondering if I removed the stock elbow cats and replaced them with high flows if it would make it louder. Which i assume it would.:o

yes it will, the pre cats are maybe a inch smaller than the 94106 hi flows but they dont flow as well and are more clogged than the hi flows will be

i have a pair of 94106 hi flows myself and i love them

OK now I have to find a shop that carries Magnaflow or someplace online to get a pair. Canada sucks for aftermarket parts!!! I assume you had no problem with a cel?

check out http://www.performancepeddler.com/ I have ordered from them many times and have had great results. Plus they are usually cheaper than the other places online.

Oh ok. From how you explained it I thought you had only 2 hi-flow converters, didn't know you still had the pre-coverters. Try to get the pre-cats/elbow cats removed and only run the two hi-flows.

Talking

Well I just got back from the muffler shop! Cut off pre-cats and welded in maggie #94106. One word... PERFECTION! Sounds awesome and increased torque off the line. Thanks guys for all your help in steering me in this direction, couldn't be happier! Cheers
