Header/Gen Updates

Hey folks, know ya'll haven't seen me around for a while. Been working my tail off, business has really blown through the roof. What recession right?

Last ya'll heard I had a set of long tubes I was going to install on my truck but decided to wait until after a roadtrip the wife and I were going to take. Didn't want to listen to her complain for 6 hours each way that my truck was louder. Well I'm pretty glad that I waited, had a slight accident up in the mountains. I pulled up on a road block (was october fest in the neighboring town) and the car in front of us was having some problems (DUI I'm sure) so the sheriff talked to me and asked me to back up and pull around the other guy off the road. I asked him to help back me up considering I was basically pinned between two cars and needing to take my truck off roading. He stood back there and backed me up, motioning for me to keep coming and well, he back my exhaust right into the side of a boulder I couldn't see in the dark. I started to get out and he said "there's no damage" thought maybe I had just hit a rock or something with my bumper and went on. I stopped for gas and noticed that my tailpipe was sticking way out, and had bent nearly to the tire from the rear. I was in a suit and tie, so figured I would get back to the hotel before messing with it. Went in to pay for the gas and someone came through the gas station, hitting my tailpipe that was sticking out bending it clear around the tire, breaking one of the hangars, snapping the outlet of the muffler and putting one hell of a pinch in the piping. Of course as I come storming out of the gas station, the **** bolts.

Oh it gets better....

So I get it back to the hotel and go ahead and saw everything off, including one of the mufflers that was bad messed up and put everything in the bed of my truck up under the toolbox. I figured my muffler shop could replace the piping and re-weld the muffler outlet on at least temporarily. Came out the next morning and it was all gone: My bent piping, my magnaflow, and the tip.

So, now I'm trying to get my ducks in a row for a new maggie and maggie tip. Been pretty DANG bent out of shape and visiting the Exhaust forums just makes me even more angry that my sweet setup is botched. I'll get her right soon enough. Just thought I'd share, sorry it was such a long story.

Damn man that sucks big time... lost a muffler and tailpipe with tip, i'd be beyond pissed off. I sort of know how you feel though, I just bought a Polaris Sportsman and already theres a suspicious truck that cruises past my house trying to see where its at. And, work is a bitch lately, especially when the cold comes around.

Your install warranty should cover your tailpipe, hopefully Magnaflow will provide you a replacement muffler and tip too.

I didn't realize they covered "theft" under their warranty. I'll look into that today!

Magnaflow should cover it all. Should is the word, no guarantees from me, but you bought them and aan exhaust shop installed them so you should be good.
