Best Intake???

Best Intake???

What is the best cold air intake I can get??? The only set back is that I want a chrome (polished) tube..... That throws out afew brands....
What do ya'll think?

The best you can buy is the AF1, and it has a chrome tube with a blue filter. It's a little on the expensive side though.

Yeah way better, it's going to run you about 400 bones though...
If the chrome tube wasn't such a big deal than the S&B cold air intake is the runnner up for performance and only costs $260.

i asked the same question about 2 weeks ago and was told that S&B was "The best bang for its buck" out there

i havent made the purchase yet because i cant decide wether i should maybe even try to make me own

Possibly the Model year of your truck? The newer models may cost more.

I agree with that 100% I read the tech article about it. It took me all of 20 mins to do (longest time was cutting the sheet metal) I noticed a huge increase in throttle response pluse 2mpg when im in town!

Yeah mine was $400. It's the newer models with the 5.2.

Well worth it, IMO.

My 77 was onyl 230 bucks. i have the chrome tube because i messed with my intake i have it for sale but i dont have any other parts for it PM me if you want it.

AF1 is the best and looks great. As mentioned it comes at a cost, but I would do it all over again if I needed to. Great sound and the performance increase can be felt.

MPG will improve if you drive as usual, only problem is when you get that nice rumble it is hard to keep your foot out of the throttle!
