Mustang Header Fit?

Has anybody ever tried to put a set of Mustang shorty headers on a 5.4 in an '02?

Both engines are different so I dont see how it would be real compatable.

all of Ford's modular 2v v8's have the same bolt pattern on the heads for the exhaust manifolds.

They would bolt up to the heads just fine but I don't know if the collectors would bolt up

hmm, well then in that case with minor fabrication they could work.

My thoughts exactly. The hookup to the head pipes would not be difficult, my reason for asking is, any frame or body clearance issues with the headers themselves.

Might just have to get a set and have a look see.

Why dont ya just buy a set of stainless LPP headers. They are made for your truck and are 321 stainless.

I've sent them an e-mail asking them if they make them, slim chance but worth the effort.

I need 4V shorties and JBA (the only ones who list them) is out of stock, that is why I ask, Long tubes are out of the question since I intend to keep my truck smog legal.

I know he has them. He has a guy from this forum test fitting them, and he will carry them.
