advice on new exhaust '08 F150

I just purchased an '08 F150 supercrew 4x4. I still have my '04 F150 supercrew 4x4 (which is for sale) that has a MagnaFlow catback dual exhaust on it. I really like the MagnaFlow but wouldn't mind finding something maybe a little quieter (for sure don't want anything louder)??? Has anyone installed the Rousch exhaust or heard them or anything about them? thanks, Dan

Roush is as bit louder than Magnaflow, Magnaflow is probably the quietest rich tone you could achieve with an aftermarket exhaust. You could try getting a much larger muffler, if you have a 14" length muffler, swap it for the 18" body, it will turn the volume down two notches or so.

No problem man. We dont get too many "too loud" complains from the Magnaflow owners, does your truck have cats? If so are they OEM? or shiny looking ones?

Well really I don't think it's too loud, maybe just when I'm towing my boat. I just don't need or want it to be any louder.
Yes it does have the factory cats.

Ok. Well then upgrading your muffler to the next size bigger should do just fine.

The Roush "legal" catback is calling your name.

I agree Magnaflow is probably one of the quieter systems on the market. However, a coworker has Gibson cat-back on his truck and it is considerably quieter than my Magnaflow system. IMO - too quiet.
I bust his chops a lot and ask him when he's going to put duals on it.

Our Systems will get a little louder over about 500 to 800 miles once that packing in the muffler breaks in.

The gibson swept side is a really quite exhaust. I had one on my 97 and you could hardly tell the truck had an aftermarket exhaust. I eventually swapped it out for gibsons super truck exhaust because it was so quite. Don't know how it compares to the magnaflow though.

Hello!! I've been looking online and can't seem to find a MagnaFlow catback dual rear exit for my new truck. My new truck is a 2008 F150 supercrew Fx4, 5.4L with the 6.5' bed. Do they(you) make a kit for my truck??

No they dont, so heres what you do, find the muffler you want ( length and style ) and take it to the shop, have them install it, and dont forget to buy some nice stainless tips. $200 - $350 out the door on average.
