question...

Ok, I have shorty headers and a k&N drop in. I'd like to open the exhaust up a little but i am going for engine longevity and do not want drone. Im thinking to just buy a muffler and have a shop weld it in place of the stock one and have them weld a tip on. I'm keeping the cats, i just want to open up the stock exhaust just a tad and not have a drone while driving but a little grunt if I get on it isnt a bad thing.

Will this work, with extra piping of course...

is that the right size diameter pipe?

If you just replace your muffler with that one,,yes,,it will be good.

Gimme 2 weeks time for waiting on parts and install. Gonna put a black chrome tip on it as well as my whole truck is blacked out.

11236 will work and sound perfect. Great choice. Buy from Summit or Performance Peddler for lowest costs.
