4 cats?

i have a 2002 5.4 and i was looking to cut the cats out cause i have a flowmaster 44 series muffler but its just not enough sound for me. but there are two straight ones and it lookes like two in the bend. will it hurt to take these out to get more sound?

Take the rears out and O2 MIL the rear ones to shut the engine light out. That will sound good. Running no cats at all will sound like s**t. Or atleast get hi-flow cats, but cutting the rears will be the cheapest way to go at it, at a cost of $30 or less and maybe a couple sawzall blades.

Its a modification you do to the rear O2 sensors to kill the check engine light that will show up after time on the 97 - 03 trucks. The easiest method would be to follow the Gotts Mod procedure.
