True Duels or SI/DO

I have an 01 Supercrew w/ a 5.4, completly stock. I cant decide whether or not to put true duels or a si/do kit. If i run with the true duels ill go with 2.5in pipe 6x14 maggies and split rear exit(side behind the tires w/dual tips). and i cant decide on the si/do if i even want it.i want it to sound loud but not raspy like glasspacks and not to low too where u cant hear it at idle. i really dont want to loose any power and i would love to gain some but i dont mind loosing a lil as long as it sounds beast. and im in highschool if any of u older guys are wondering why i want it loud

I have a flowmaster 40 series SI/DO and high flow cats. The 40 was loud by itself but the high flows made all the difference and it roars at WOT. A nice SIDO muffler will be plently loud. ill get a clip of it up soon.

True duals will give a slight rasp over SI/DO. A SI/DO would be much better than true duals, Based up on your requests of the sound you want, I would recommend the SI/DO Flowmaster Super 44 to you.

I've got a Flowmaster 40 with 3 1/4 X 18 inch tips. Check my sig, and be sure to change your pants after you finish watching it, lol.

Mine cost me $296 from Midas, and I didn't buy any of the parts before hand. Midas actually does a good job, minus the crush bent pipes. I think that the super 44 might be what your looking for.

i donno how a super 44 would sound on a stock exhuast my buddy had one on his 5.0 exploder it wasnt like LOUD but it sounded ok i really dont like the sound of flowmasters ive always liked Dynomax mufflers. you could always run true duals into the dynomax muffler with the X-pipe in it. Good luck i have true dual dynomax bullets but i think thats louder then ur looking for i got a video in my sig kinda crapy quialty its on a cell phone. i also have longtubes and no cats

Well its not 40 series, you want the Super 44. The 40 series contains alot more baffle plates than the Super 44, therefore, restricting more flow than the Super 44, and the Super 44 is louder and deeper sounding at low rpm. They're good for sound, but it will rust out on you by spring. You'll need a 3" in, dual 2.5" out muffler. $106 is the usual install for a muffler and tailpipes, with the cost of tips and the muffler excluded.
