i want a loud as hell truck and i want to get straights. what should i get and should i cut my cats out or what?

 

keep the cats, straights is loud enough as it is, if you cut the cats your CEL will go off

 

dude.. i have 98 4.6 and i cut rear cats, and kept my duel exaust (not true duel) and it sounds dope.

 

oh and my cel didnt go off

 

well i just heard that true duel straights would sound wierd and i should just get regular straights(not true dual). so would they sound bad?

No it won't sound weird. The only weird thing is that a truck will sound like a badass mustang.

 

well wait a second. i want a deep rumble type sound, not a muscle car sound so i shouldn't go with the true duals?

 

You shouldn't go with true duals because your giving your performance away for a sweet sound. You can get just as good a sound with the same volume with a single muffler with dual outlets.

True dual straights will not sound weird, its a V8 so it will sound good. If you want a deep rumble and not "loud as hell" as you stated earlier, then your best off not going straights, get mufflers. My truck gives a nicely volumed deep rumble. If you want loud as hell, true dual straights with hi-flow cats.
