I had to re-tighten mine 3 times - it said to do that per instructions. Mine loosened up for those 3 times too. That's what it took - 4th time they where tight.

How did you clean the EGR without blowing the diaphragm ? Unless your talking about the Plenum Port. ?

i have no idea... my dad is pretty good at that all that stuff. just cleaned it with some carb cleaner... apparently the ping is back though, except on high octane, which isn't too exciting

They can ping if the poppet valve isn't functioning properly, usually you'll generate a 402 code when that happens. I would check the EGR valve anyway - Suck test it.

Also they can ping if you loose a socket and it falls down by the knock sensor - that can screw up the timing /fooling the sensor. - If the socket sits on top of the heater core/waterpump hardline, that can also effect timing as that line runs close to the knock sensor..

To much compression from carbon build up is common as well.

Gotts2beme i see you are running long tube obx headers, i am putting on long tube pacesetters and was wondering if this mod would still work with the rear 2 sensors as the from 2 screw into the headers themselves...

I don't quite understand your question. But I still may be able to answer I hope.

This mod SHOULD work any OBDII compliant vehicle from 96-present if you are throwing any kind of insufficient catalyst code, as long as the sensors are still placed in the exhaust piping. It will work like a charm if you do not plan on running cats.

i think he wants to do this mod on the front o2's....that would be very bad the front o2 ajust A/F ratio. if you take them out of the exhuast stream your truck will run very bad and either run rich or lean not sure witch one but it wont help.

this mod is for the rear o2 senors only because if you have cats the rear o2 tells the computer the cats are workign...without cats it sends a code to the computer and says the cats not working and trys to fix it but with this mod because the o2 is only getting a lil amount of exhuast gases it tricks the o2's into thinking theres still cats...thus no codes.

Gotts o2 mod is for rear o2's only.

hope thats what he ment other wise i went on a pointless rant lol

ok thanks just to clear things up i am not doing anything with the front 2 sensors just screwing them directly into the headers. just using 02 mod for the rear. with that done what people are telling me if i don't have enough back pressure i will be loosing torque...if that true then i am not going to run glasspacks, just some sorta of mufflers, any ideas or info.

I just installed the OBX headers. I installed the front O2s without any non-foulers. I used one non-fouler per O2 on the rears. 400+ miles and no light at all.

Has this been simulated on a 04+. I'm wondering if it would work on them as well.
