hey i have the S&B intake on my 04 4.6L truck, with the canned tunes it did the same thing.it was loud and seem to bog down .the answer to all your problems is a custom tune it will get rid of the loud noise and improve your trucks performance, p.s. PHP can tune the S&B intakes they did mine now my truck is awsome you can hear the engine now
