why? besides being loud and the annoying drone...Magnaflow > Straight Piped. Not real sure on mpg loss, but i think i've heard you might lose a few..I was gonna do this yesterday, took it off and drove around the block. Sounded cool for the first few minutes, and when i was outside of the truck, but I could tell it had no real tone.

Just a slight loss, like .2 of so, nothing real noticeable. The Magnaflow internal design is straight through as a straight pipe is, but the tube has a design that creates the muffler toning affect by the wools and all in the muffler, which keeps the flow, and mpg up.

Well are you running hi-flow converters? If not I would start there before pulling the Magnaflow.

x2. Or atleast take out your rear cats, and leave the pre cats. Then take the rear cats to the scrap yard and get some $$$. Just make sure not to mess with the O2.

Hey Cote, have you removed your rears? Or still debating on it?
