Has anyone ever done this?

Ive got a SI/SO flowmaster 40 series, dont have the money to switch to a SI/DO right now but i was wondering if its possible to have a shop Y pipe the end of my SISO to run dual pipes out the rear. If this is done will it effect my sound because i love the sound i have now but i want it to sound even and not just louder out the right side. Any help is always appreciated. Thanks

I'd just wait til you can get the correct muffler. If you get it done your way, you'll end up regretting it until you do it the other way. It wont sound as good or as evenly as a SIDO either.

Yeah it will give you the dual look, but its not worth it sound wise.
