Pulled over for Exhaust

So I'm coming back from lunch, look up in my rear view and see blue lights. I pull over into a parking lot and the sheriff comes up to my door, asks me how I'm doing. I tell him I'm doing well and ask him what seems to be the problem. (I knew I wasn't speeding) He says, "I pulled you over for your exhaust."

First thought is DANG! It's not THAT loud, and lots of these rednecks in town with Flowbastards are MUCH louder and annoying than my truck. So then he says:

"Your truck sounds damn good. What did you have done?"

We talked for about 10 minutes about Magnaflows, the cats, x-piped true duals etc. Turns out he's got an 05 SCAB and wanted to know where I got my work done and how much it cost. Before he left he apologized for pulling me over just to ask me about my exhaust.

How sweet is that?

pretty awesome, got the cops attention. Thats the key with exhaust, dont need it rebel loud and roaring, just a nice low respectable tone that Magnaflow specializes in, and you get alot of respect and appreciation.

Years ago my dad got pulled over because a cop wanted to check out his red '00 Trans Am WS6, that was pretty funny

Next time you see him, offer to buy him an ice cream cone. Buddy up to him. You never know when you'll need a ticket fixed.

Yeah luck can only be pushed too far. Good thing you weren't driving a Chevy cause he could have been a Ford guy!

I guess I am buddying up to him, I'm making an F150online decal like mine for him. I should make him one for his squad car too!

Local cop did that to me here in Wisconsin, not once but TWICE! First time was about 5 years ago when i had my 90 Ranger, he pulled me over, and i knew i had been going at LEAST 10 over. He just wanted to shoot the **** about deer hunting cuz he seen a set of legs sticking out underneath my toppers door. The 2nd time was in my mustang where, the same cop go figure, wanted to know what i had done for exhaust cuz he could hear my 2 blocks away and wanted to warn me to "keep it down in town"....

Dont you like getting pulled over for cool stuff??

That and Right Turns stories are great. Getting pulled over to shoot the breeze about a vehicle or hunting, I could live with that. Beats getting a ticket.
