summit headers BEWARE

Summit headers suck. I bought a set under 2 years ago (actually rebadged pace setter headers. and they rotted out in! Huge holes in them so now I am buying stock manifolds! Summit said it was my fault because I live in the north east. I dont care where you live headers should last longer than 2 years for pete's sake. I am a little angry.................

its the salt theyre blaming? this is why i chose SS obx. even if their welds crack out, the material aughta stay around to fix it.

Summits great for buying parts from, but Summits products that they make I dont prefer to go with. If you go with natural headers, be prepared, heat paint them and wrap them. Should have to in most cases but the north east is harsh in winter.

20 +

I live in the SE and have a set of Headman headers that have been on a 1977 Firebird 20+ years. It's driven on a fairly reg. basis and still no holes. Got to luv those Headman's. I do give them a thourough inspection each time i change the oil and service the car. Of course living way the hell up there I can see where SS would be the only way to go.
