hey guys, I have a 2002 f150 XLT extended cab with a 4.6L triton v8. so far Ive added a Magnaflow dual exhaust, Airaid throttle body spacer and its tuned with a Superchip.

i am now looking to purchase an intake to give me a little something extra. but i still cant decide between a few... the K&N FIPK, the Airaid intake system or the S&B intake system? which is the best?

my only concern is with the heat shield. does that really matter? should I only get a heat shield or should I get a box?

 

I love my S&B no complaints whatsoever! Had it since 05. I like the box, just personally feel like it'll keep things a little cleaner. The only absolute bit of advice I can give you...remove the TBS. I'll spare you posting my picture this time

 

I'm looking forward to buying an S&B intake pretty soon, well designed and priced very well.

 

On my trucks, I have owned K&N, Airaid, S&B and Volant. My opinion is to go with Volant or S&B.

 

Have you priced out the AF1? Im not sure what they cost for your model, but if the price is reasonable add it to your list of potentials. It is the best perfoming intake on the market
