Opinions needed....

Saved up some money to throw into my truck(again...this site is making me broke)...Right now i have a 40 series flowmaster with stock cats. Would it be better to throw some maggy hi flow cats on or would the better option be to make the truck true dual with the same 40 series muffler?

Edit: oh yea its a 05 4.6

are you going for power or for sound?

power: high flows and ditch the flowmasters

sound: high flows with your SISO FM muffler

For alot more sound, IF you have the 4 cat setup, cut the rear big cats out and leave the pre-cats in, if you got only 2 big ones have them replaced with Magnaflow hi-flow part #94006.

X2, but I'm going to be biased and say go with high flow AND maggies

Don't think I could have said it any better myself.

If you are wanting loud then just run true dual straights. ( Check sig for sound)
If you want to keep the flomaster sound for some unknown reason, then either A. Put on high flows and run true duals flow 40 B. Change to the 10 series C. High flows and 10 series.

just ordered in my high flow maggies today gonna see how its all set up with regards to sound. I actually like my 40 series i know im the odd man out here with all the magnaflow lovers. My plans for now are to leave the 40 series + the 2 high flows and then next summer switch to a true dual magnaflow once i save up enough money.

I love my Flowmasters!!
I'll run them till they rust out and fall off...lol
They've been on the truck for over 4 years and still hanging in there.

Nothing wrong with liking Flowmaster, its great sounding muffler. This is my first Magnaflow system, I was going to go with Super 44s, I still have them in the box, but with fuel prices and all I would rather have a direct flowing muffler, and one that wont rot out on me, so I grabbed the Magnaflows. I actually wish my F150 could sound exactly how my old Silverado did

Or you could get a maggie for cheaper and it would never rust apart
