What muffler to choose.

I see alot of people at this site are not to found of Flowmaster. I have always been a Flowmaster person. Kinda like when I go to a resturant 99% of the time I order the same thing LOL. Well anyways I am going to try somthing new or at least give it a honest shot. I hear people say Magnaflow. Ok for our trucks I have 07 Super crew 5.4 is mine. What Magnaflow muffler would sound the deepest and loudest performance sound? I am wanting to either run duels out the back but I am leaning towards out right in front of my right rear tire. I have only had 1 other Magnaflow and it was on a 98 Ford escort w/2.0 I4 and it didn't do this car any justice just look like a family truckster with a exhaust that cost more then it. Any info or experiance recomendations would be helpfull thanks for everyones time.

Darren is running a Magnaflow with a body casing that is only 11" long! Those tend to be rare. Run true dual though for sure with either 11" Mags or 14" Mags.

My signature has my exhaust clip in it. 2 high flow cats and an 18" sido. I wish i had really done true duals.

the maggies with 11'' cases (17'' total) are only available on (2) si/so (with diff offsets) and the di/do 4x9'' mufflers.. of course whether u go with these or 14'', u should certainly make them true duals for best sound/loudness. if ur just lookign for a si/do catback, then get the 14'' but it wont be as loud in return.

and when it comes to exhaust, u cant compare our V8's to a 4banger.. it will certainly be inaccurate, so dont think bc it sucked on the escort it will be as bad on you F150, especially if it was a catback system with a muffler made for tuners/4bangers. it is made to sound...rice

if u want to end in front of the rear tire, so be it, it will look good and sound good.. im sure uve looked at vids, if not, do so. you will be able to use the 11'' muffler with that application..
i think thats all from me.. off to work i go.. TIM

i go with Flowmaster any day. Magnaflow gots a slighter lower growl,. plus 1 pipe give you a little louder growl than 2 pipes cuz the air is comin out harder out of just 1 compared to two. i got the 40 series flowmaster in mine, running 1 pipe

Yeah I got the smallest case Magnaflow, the 11" body. As stated only available in si/so or di/do format. I have 2.5" true dualed si/so's and its pretty good. And I still have all 4 stock cats for now, hoping to pull the rears next week. Going for a deep loud sound, not a loud crackly Flowmaster sound, so far its been pretty sweet.

If you want to do it right, get a Borla or Roush - you won't find a higher quality muffler/system out there.

You dont need one per-say, but for more horsepower and faster air induction its a good idea, however the 2004+ trucks need customed tuned for it afterwards to prevent running lean.

only certain intakes need a tune afterward. Also keep in mind a true dual setup with mufflers will be a little quieter than a si/do with the same muffler. You get more flow with true duals but you are running two mufflers instead of one, so it will be quieter.
