If you want good sound without changing out the cats, the Super 44 is probably for you then. It wont be as bad as my Chevy like I explained, shouldn't suffer too much of a loss. If you true dual it then I would get a re-tune shortly after.

i agree.. it wont be as bad as ur 18 either way but maggie is ur better option. i just figured u were looking to go louder with less drone and the 44 will give u that.. but good luck. either way one of those swaps will be better for u.. enjoy.. Tim

I run the super44 and drive a ton of highway for hunting and to get home from school. You cant even hear the drone unless you really step on it.

As for losing low end, 1-2 HP is worth the much better sound you will get. Maggies sound flat to me.

Why would an 18" Maggie drone more ?

Yeah, I got to agree there... A maggie is always going to be quieter than a Flow.
Those of you that think Magnaflows are too loud, I seriously wonder what your definition of "loud" is sometimes.

at lower RPMs/cruising speeds i would think it would drone more than that of a smaller casing.. i could be wrong..it depends on the muffler but im sure someone that has compared them will let us kno

The 18" wouldn't be as bad as a Super 44.

Magnaflows mufflers are packed with Rock Wool for alot of in-cab resonance prevention. The sound just comes out the outlet(s) and through the tip(s).

Super 44 is a aluminized steel chambered design that will rust out after a few years, and there is no packing in it at all. So there is no resonance prevention there, it will be heard inside alot.
