Noob question

Ok im really a noob when it comes to exhaust stuff so please dont flame me . I have a single exit flowmaster 40 series muffler on my truck right now. Is it possible to turn it into a dual exhaust system using the existing muffler or do i have to buy a new muffler for this. From what i see, turning it into a dual exhaust moves the muffler forward underneath the truck. Just wondering because if its possible i wanna make my truck dual exhaust. Thanks for any help.

Are you looking for true duals or just dual tail pipes?
If you just want dual tails,,,just put a Y pipe on the backside of the muffler and run 2 tail pipes.
If you want true duals,,,you'll need another muffler.

You can have a shop Y pipe it after the existing muffler and run dual tailpipes, but the better way to go would be buy a dual outlet muffler.
