Hi-Flow cats are only $65 each.

Just cut the stock cats off and leave the pipe, you can leave the bung's alone. It will sound horrid though, you will have no tone and it will just pop and crackle all the time.

Save the money for hi-flows, straights with hi-flows sounds quite decent, just really loud

Darren, i have a question about hi-flow cats. Are they hard to install youself. I have a 2008 F-150 4.6L v8 . and im confused on which type of hi-flow cat to buy. Do i buy the unviersal fit or direct fit ones? Also would they be illegal to put on in GA.

Hi flows are legal in 49 states. Direct fit is a waste of money. If you know how to weld universals will be fine.

Agreed.. we took my cats out.. (1998 f 150 with a 5.4) an it sounded horrid.. now we cant get it to stop popping even with different mufflers.. keep cats in it as it will sound much better..

Don't know the YM of your truck Nate, but if it's a 04 or older, just take the back two off, leave the small pre-cats and it will still sound decent with a straight through muffler.

I dont think its a real hard install, welding would ofcoarse be the best way, but you could cut your stocks out and clamp in the hi-flows with some clamps and if needed some extra piping, but if someone knows its clamped in under there and they would like to have them, you might start up in the AM with no cats. If your having trouble locating a shop to install hi-flow cats, hopefully you can find one. Or if you can weld perfectly, then its just a matter of welding the ring of the pipe. The cats are pre-flanged so they will fit into the existing pipe.

Part #s 94306 and 94006 will work properly on our trucks. The difference between the two is 94006 is a tad louder. You have two cats so cutting the rear cats is not an option for you I dont believe.
