Dynomax --> Roush?

My truck had a dynomax ultra flow on it when I bought it. It sounds nice, but I keep eyeballing the roush offroad setup. Do you think it's worth spending the $600 to get different exhaust? Will I even notice a difference? Is that money better spent on a gryphon?

If you are happy with the sound, then get the gryphon. No sense in changing something you enjoy.

Hmmmm- I'd have to see what I can come up with. I have an IPhone and it doesn't record video...or sound.

It's a nice low rumble...not raspy at all. I just think the Roush sounds meaner.

I have the Roush and it sounds awesome!

But, it sound like you are not unhappy with your exhaust, so I would get a gryphon. The difference the custom tunes will make in performance will have you forgetting about your exhaust. Plus custom tuned trucks sound better now matter what exhaust.

Once you have tunes, then revisit the exhaust.

Roush is better than any dynomax. I just dont like the exit style. The only Dynomax I think is worth buying would be the bullet.

Complete cat-back systems are a waste, unless you harsh winters with lots of salt where you actually need a stainless exhaust. You're not going to FEEL a difference in performance or get much better mileage with a complete brand name catback. Just get a muffler and have a shop bend the pipes, it will be MUCH cheaper.

BTW- Darren, unless you've heard a Dynomax in person.. Dont bash them. I've heard a couple maggies in person and my dynomax is MUCH deeper and louder. Just my .02

Ok ok...I guess that makes sense. I'll have to swing in to the local muffler shop and see what they have. I don't want loud and obnoxious. I'm looking for deep and mean.

I never heard the bullet, but Dynomax dont impress me too much, could have been just the vehicles they were installed on too. But the Roush sounds awesome in person, never heard a Bullet in person though but I said nothing wrong about the bullets before.

If I remember correctly, dynomax is making the exhaust that roush is making. Roush is just putting there name on them. Same thing with roush intakes, someone else is making them and roush is putting there name on them.
