Magnaflow muffler

Hi Guys, I'm looking for some info, I'm wanting to change out the stock muffler
on my 5.4 screw to a magnaflow (not looking for a cat back, just the muffler). I'm thinking something with a 18" or longer body, I want the V-8 rumbel, but dont want to wake the town when I leave for work at 3:00 AM.
Any ideas?
Thanks all

A 4x9 oval body, 18" long maggie sounds perfect for you.

I bought a 14" Magnaflow single in, dual out muffler.

Sounds pretty good. I could live with it a tad louder, but over all- I like the sound.

If you dual out right in front of the passenger side rear tire, its pretty loud due to the short pipe. My buddy ran the duals out the back, but with the increased distance, and extra feet of pipe, his truck is significantly quieter than mine.

I ordered the 14" muffler (single in, dual output) for $89.00, than had Meineke cut out the stock muffler and install the Maggie. I think they charged me only $65 for labor.

Here is a pic of the dual side exit (which sounds good and fairly loud when I have the windows down)

I like my true duals wit 11" Magnaflows, but the 14" SI/DO would probably be right for you.

18" is quite quiet. With the 14" you can hear an idle atleast.

And minus the rear cats, the 14" sounds amazing.

Thanks, after hearing sound clips for the 14" si/so, I think I'm sold on it.
Thanks much.
