you probably wont be able to tell a difference.....some say you can but i doubt it......the best bang for your buck for power is a programmer....ithink at least....exhaust intake and prgrammer are pretty much the basics though

I've heard of people getting there programmer reprogrammed for the new tires if you put on bigger ones..maybe that would help?

Edge is a popular programmer for 04+ guys. A cat-back exhaust, enclosed intake system, and program would be the best bang for the buck.

I have had my truck for ~1 year. I bought a Superchips 1715 programmer (ebay) and AF-1 CAI at the same time. I have just uploaded the 91 Octane performance tune for the first time. I ran the 87 Octane tune for 3-4 months; I had no noticeable mileage increase over stock. However, was very pleased the the performance.

Folks on this forum indicated I might see some mileage improvements with the 91 Octane tune, but again, too early to tell. It definitely won't be on this tank, as I haven't been able to stay out of the throttle; too much fun. I can assure you, you are not going to gain back 6 mpg. It is amazing you have lost that much! How big and fat are those tires?!

I was reviewing the Technical Articles yesterday, and thought the Airbox Mods...article was quite interesting. To go back, I might have done this instead of the AF-1. Pretty straight forward, and would have saved probably $175.

Good Luck

AF1 here and I love it. No doubt it added power and improved throttle response

go with the S&B, almost as good as the AF1, and about $100 cheaper
