just wanna know if a header for a 5.4 will fit a 4.6...or 4.6 fits 5.4 yall get what im sayin! i found some headers for a decent price and it says 5.4...but on some more i found it says fits 4.6 or 5.4 if i but some that say 5.4 will they fit my 4.6

 

oh and another thing will headers for the same year model range as my truck for a mustang fit my truck i.e. 2002 4.6 mustang..will those headers fit my truck just like their suppose to..i dont wanna get some headers and have to have my exhaust guy bend them to fit..i want it right you know

 

shifty85 fitted 5.4L headers onto his 4.6L so it must be possible atleast with the 97 - 03 generation.

As for Mustang & F150 4.6s to what I have read they are totally different engines so I dont think so.

 

even if the mustang and f150 motor was the same, the engine bay is different so i doubt that the headers would fit right in the bay. dont even know if theyd bolt up to the factory pipes. just my opinion tho

 

I know a guy who had 5.4 shortys on his 01 GT, they worked fine, but IDK about the other way. The quick trip LT's can be used on a 4.6 with a adapter for the EGR tube.
