Need More Power

I just had new wheels, tires, and a leveling kit installed. I'm planning on buying a pull behind camper soon, so I'm thinking about buying an exhaust and air intake kit to increase the power. What are the best options available? I'd like to get a little grumble out of the new exhaust without it being too loud.

Magnaflow exhaust ( SI/DO 14" 3" in 2.5" out into tips of your choice exiting to your choice ), S&B, Volant, or any other enclosed intake, and a custom Troyer, Xcal2, or VMP tune and it will be woken up very nicely.

Edit: Since your going to be pulling a camper, I suggest you cancle out the option of straight out tips. Go with side exit like mine, or side exit passenger side before, or after tire.

If you want more power for towing, go with a custom tuner with the intake and exhaust. Without the tune, you will probably lose bottom end power, at least I did, which will result in a lot of tranny shifting while towing. This makes your mileage drop pretty significantly. If you do a search you will find quite a few guys that have lost power when they put on an exhaust and intake without a tune.

However, the sound of nice grumble is definitely a plus. I have really enjoyed my Corsa Sport Exhaust. Not too loud, and a nice deep grumble.

I ordered a S&B enclosed air intake last night. Next will probably be a MagnaFlow exhaust.

Thanks for the help!

Check out the MRBP exhaust systems, they are just as nice as Magnaflow and sound better. The S&B intake is a great choice. However you will NEED custom tuning for it. It will run lean without it. I highly recommend getting a custom tuned Xcal2 or Xcal3 from a reputable tuner like VMPTuning.com ..
