I believe you PM'd me on youtube, I got the email notification, but I can't find it on my youtube account. But i'll answer here.

I would suggest my setup, with hi-flow cats. I'm getting cats soon.

Or, if you want it a bit louder, 2.5" true dual Flowmaster Super 44s and the hi-flow cats would sound great, but thats all it could do. Your performance would suffer minorly.

Yep. Do not go any thicker than 2.5" pipes for true duals, 4" or 3.5" tips would set the sound perfect on it too. I'm actually surprized I went with the X pipe, very last minute. I was asking him to fabricate me an H pipe and he talked me into the X pipe for Magnaflows and better low end and he was pretty much right. Good choice.

If you want to go with Flowmaster, dont buy anything but the Super 44. Thats the least restricted muffler they make, 2 chamberes with 1 baffle in each. Flows better than their others but its still a Rustmaster

As for Magnaflows well I would definitely suggest my mufflers, they aren't really loud enough for me as is I need some hi-flow cats, but I love having the extra sound over those with the 14" mufflers.

Heres my old truck with hi-flow Magnaflow cats and true dualed Super 44s.

Thank you very much. When combined Magnaflow & Flowmaster is sweet, but can get confusing as to which decal to rock, I got both Magnaflow Performance and Flowmaster stickers on my wall anyways

I always wondered if someone would ever try combining a Flowmaster muffler, and a 14" Magnaflow on a true dual application ( X pipe, Magnaflow on left, Flowmaster on right, X piped, tailpipes ). Wonder how that would sound, Magnamaster

Thanks. I'm not a real fan of Chevy either, as you can probably tell now . Those Flowmaster will rust, so fast that it will shock ya..

True duals no mufflers on your truck wouldn't me that bad, it wont sound that good ( IMO ) and it will still be quiet with the 4 cat system. Listen here http://youtube.com/watch?v=9XSxIorscP8&feature=related

I would personally stick with the Magnaflows and get the hi-flow cats. At the end of the summer i'm going to be looking into buying cats. Im waiting for my mufflers to hit 1,000 miles ( full break in point ) and waiting for the $174 to buy them

haha ok i'm sold magnaflow it is and i'll prolly just save up to do it all at once the whole set up along with the high flow cats and that video you sent me sounded pretty good but wasn't the sound i was lookin for but i think i'll just stick with your set up here is that actual video that inspired me to go no mufflers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9QSMtF5xeg

and the reason i wanna get rid of all four cats is b/c i hate that crackle it gives when at high RPM's and with all cats on it has a low sounding idle here is a vid explaining what i mean and when he uses the throttle you'll know what i mean

Ah man I remember that first guys truck. That thing is LOUD! But that 2nd truck sounds god awful.. Hi-Flows and no mufflers is a better setup. This guy's truck dont sound that bad either http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYePkqoJ3BQ

I wanna get rid of my 4 for the same reason pretty much, sound volume, and a better idle.

yeah if i do remove the muffler i'm definately putting high flow cats cuz well yeah i just hate that sound, cousin of mine sounds pretty much the same in his older Z71 but its sounds ok since it has a 350ci, but pretty sure i'll just go exactly like yours with the high flow cats cuz yours is not too quiet and not too loud, could be a little bit louder, maybe headers?

Sweet. So your saying your going with the 11" Magnaflows & cats? or straights with the cats? Either way will sound sweet. Gonna be awhile till I can get my cats but i'm anxoius for it. As long as you stay with 2.5" pipes you'll sound good. Those that have 2.25" pipes done get alot of pop and an awful sound. I would rather get my computer tuned for exhaust to perform correctly than to have a shop make a small system and leave it at that.

I dont have any plans for headers but yeah that will louden the system very much. I heard a clip of a tan '04 with LT headers, Hi-Flow cats, and a Magnaflow 14", very loud. Probably louder than my old Chevy. Hi-Flow cats is my last exhaust modification though, I dont want roaring loud and with that money for LTs I would rather buy my wheels & tires

Yeah I think i'll just leave the muffler on and yes magnaflow with HIGH flow cats, and still debating on headers and most likely will go with them, but long tubes or shortys? either way should still sound good though, and wheels n tires can wait need to save money for the lift and rims, already got 35" mudders sittin around should be done by end of summer i HOPE haha and i'll be sure to post video soon as its done
