from ordering an exhaust system for my truck...

i have the 5.4 and am seriously considering the Roush off road system. i checked out youtube and listened to a bunch of different clips of the Roush and Maggie systems. it seemed that there's a lot of guys out there putting the Roush on the 4.6 - there weren't too many vids up with the 5.4 and a Roush system.

i have seen some of you are adamant that the Roush is the way to go...

what i am looking for is a nice, deep sound that won't drone at 45-65mph. i mainly drive around town and would like to have that "sound" for when someone pisses me off and i WOT around them.

so between the Maggie and Roush system, which would have the least drone?

Hard to tell. I would imagine the Roush would drone out more because its got a 10" muffler, and the Magnaflow mufflers varie 18", 14" and 11". The Roush is an awesome system though, one of the best out there for these trucks.

i have read people on this forum have ordered from them and have good luck. does anyone know what kind of warranty the Roush exhaust comes with? the whole thing is stainless too, right?

Did for a while, then i put a Roush Offroad muffler on there. It sounded amazing, but i want louder so bullets are on my mind now.

t-304 stainless, the best you can get.

 

I have the roush off-road & I love it. I have never had a problem with it droning at all. I have gotten a few compliments from some of the guys at work on how it has a nice deep rumble but not raspy sounding like a flowmaster

I can say it is dead quite when you are not under load or cruising at highway speeds. But when you get on it, the system screams I mean business don't mess with me. I love it and would not get any other exhuast system.

Congrats! Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you. Very nice list, and whenever I have big ADS orders coming in you would think it was my first christmas all over again. Either way we will have to see some post mod pics! And you will love the off road exhaust! Great choice, and keep'em coming.

Enjoy man. Sounds like you will have alot of fun with the truck soon. After the Roush goes in your starter and fuel tank will be working constantly, your gonna want to hear it every minute

 

Well my Roush Off Road is installed and it is un-friggin-believable!

It sounds better than I could have ever imagined. I work at a Ford dealership and had our service department put it on. Went on with no issues and it looks fantastic. Only thing is, the tips aren't quite in the exact same position - no biggie...I'll just adjust them when I get home after they have cooled off.

I am really pleased with my decision to get the Off Road version. I couldn't even hear the exhaust at 55-80mph. It drones just a bit around 1900-2000 while accelerating, but after reaching and maintaining 30-35mph its pretty much silent - until I put my foot in it!!!
