Well gee, you think if you had of posted that bit of info, rather than your ****-poor attempt at jpeg. humor, it may have helped the OP out...

Ya think?

But of course, if he had of used the "Search" function like everyone else on here does, he'd have known that, right?

Whatever...

DO NOT BUY SPECTRE INTAKE PIPES!!!!!!!

Trust me I work at O'reilly Auto Parts and I bought them for my truck and it was a pain in the A$$ to put them together(I had to special order parts because the book listed the parts wrong, and also I had to cut off the rubber part of the stock intake that connects to the intake to get it to hold the vacuum lines) so long painful story short I returned them and bought the k&N intake(plastic with heat shield) and not only does it look nicer there is also a difference in gains I think the spectre was hurting my truck more than helping it. Also I will never recamend that intake to a customer ever again after using it myself.

you could do a dual tube into single tube, your MAF has to be in the single tube part of the intake, can it be done YES, is it worth it, only you can answer that.

Stephen87, so you never actually installed it and/or got to try it out, correct?

Just curious...

take a thermodynamics course please.

**** is a solid

air is not a solid... or a liquid.

on a side note This really is a retarded idea... you would need to weld an x or an h pipe into the middle to equalize the pressure. duh.

Edit:

Is it really worth getting all worked up over? seriously, its a forum. Some people take this crap waayyy too seriously.

But if it will make you feel that much better, then i'll take it out. Some people....

To the OP: use the search function. There are thousands of threads about cold air intakes and which ones are the most efficient/powerful/safe/practical etc etc etc.

And if my goofy picture really offended you that much, i apologize. But a lot of people on this site like to joke around every once in a while, i like to think most people here have a good sense of humor/like to have some fun with it. But as you can see, some people dont take the internet lightly....

So if you go with dual air intake, you HAVE to get at least 3 tornados, one for the two intake tubes and one for after the Y merges. Oh and might not hurt to put on a throttle body spacer, or heck, two throttle body spacers. Oh and pick up some blinker fluid while you're there, that adds 8hp.

only teasing

Sorry but the dual air intakes are gimmicks. They do not gain any power. Typically they loose power compared to one large air intake.

Wow, this would be a first to hear something like this. No benefits, just lost money.
