What's good for the 4.6?

Hey guys, I need a bit of direction with an aftermarket exhaust for my '03 F150 with the 4.6L. I don't want loud and crazy, and I DEFINITELY don't want drone! I did a lot of reading on here and I think I want the Magnaflow 18 inch. I just have a lot of questions before I order anything though, as I'm new to truck exhausts (sportscars were so much easier!). I want two nice chrome exhaust tips that sit side by side in the same spot as my stock pipe does (side exit behind the rear tires), should I get a single in and dual out? Where should I order from? Does everything just bolt up and use the existing mounting locations, or will I require welding? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the truck world, where your bigger than everyone else. I would certainly say Magnaflow 18". SI/DO is what you would need for the dual look.

Your best bet is buy universal parts and have them installed. View my recent post here, this may help you. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...43&postcount=5

Im a Summit Racing guy, great service, and fast shipments when they have your part in stock.

I have a Magnaflow on my 05' 4.6 and I get compliments on the sound all the time, including guys with Flowmasters.

It's not crazy loud, almost like stock at idle... but when you get on the gas its a nice, deep rumble... I love it.
