CARB Approved intake
CARB Approved intake
Well I found out I might be heading out to California soon, and I haven't figured out which intake I want yet (yes I'll get it tuned as well).
I know that I can get whatever intake and tune I want and then return it to stock when it comes time to get it inspected, but besides the K&N and the Sprial Flow Intake are there any CARB approved intakes out there right now? If I order an intake will it come with the CARB sticker or do I need to ask for that?

AF1 and S&b are both carb legal or carb pending.
I got my smog check with my 77 series whith no carb legal sticker and didnt have an issue. It was a prototype that hadnt come out yet and i wasnt even asked about it.

Alon:
With the one that is CARB approved....does it come with a sticker by chance? The only reason I ask is for some odd reason I ever get stopped by a cop and they ask me to pop my hood.
I also see the S&B is pending CARB approval

Is the Cali move gonna be permanent thing? If not, just keep your GA plates and do whatever you want to your vehicle and Cali can't say or do a damn thing about it.
When I was stationed in Cali, I kept my car registered in Ohio, drove around San Diego for two years with no cats, full length headers, a hot cam, and straight piped exhaust. Because my car was not registered in cali, they couldn't do anything about it.

It will be for a couple years....I'm in the military.
The thing is, I would keep my Georgia plates, but I don't think I have a way to keep the plates current and registered.

I would imagine that GA will allow you to get your new plates via mail, thats what OH does for it's residents who are stationed outside Ohio. Thats how I got away with it while I was out there.
Don't know "model," but the sticker says Magnum Force intake systems.

I got mine from PDQ Performance.

Yeah, I just got my AF1 (3") and the data says the same "CARB certification pending - expected by the end of the year" bull since the data was printed in about 1995.
I used to live in Idaho and was stationed in San Diego. I would have my dad go register my car for me and send me the stickers. It was registered to his address since that was my home of record. Never had any issues.
