Cheapest deal on straight pipes?

Hey guys im getting ready to put straight pipes on my 04 f150 supercrew 4x4..... Do any of you remember what you paid? "MightyMuffler" charges $300 for the job. This seems a little high. Also if anyone in Georgia has had this done for cheep let me know where you got it done.

Thanks

Your cheapest straight pipes would be to just saw off the stock muffler.

or....if you are no confident on skills with a sawzaw, go to a local diesel shop, and have them do it...my dad had is muffler cut off his 7.3, welded nex pipe in, and walked out after paying only $40....

$300 is WAY too much, unless they are doing new pipe all the way from cats to tip....

If they're only taking off your muffler and welding some pipe in it's place, then yea, that is way too much.

I paid $20

Bought a $20 vato zone exhaust tip, took it to Azmidgets house. He cut off the muffler and used the stock piping and bends from the muffler.

With rising steel prices, $200 - $250 bent & installed sounds right. $35 - $55 each for stainless tips too.

i paid 450 for true duals w/ tips. they said 350 for just single pipe cat back and then y'd off at the end for the duals but i wanted to go all out and have true duals, which'ed i'd recommend. makes my little 4.6 sound like a monster truck. the going price for true duals around my area was 350, but they'd always rust out and break. it was pricey, but as far as i'm concerned, at least where i live, you get what you pay for, and i'd rather do it once then twice.
