jbrew, Help me out

I am going to order the Pace Setter Long tubes, part # 70-2226. This is for a 98 4.6 2wd, Pace Setter this is for the 5.4, but it will work right?

I read somthing about all I need is an adaptor for the egr tube, what size do I need, and where do I get it?

Your post doesn't make sense, you need to clarify - specially the last part ????? Read your post earlier, but couldn't make out what you were asking. I'll give it a shot and try to answer -

Yea, Shifty85 put a set of those on his. He ran into problems because he has a 97 4.6L 2wd and he ordered headers for a 5.4L 4wd

Anyway, don't get the 5.4L headers or you'll have a big headache with the EGR adapter - NOBODY sells them(adapters) - trust me , I spent hours looking for one online, you have to make one. That could be a pricey. You have to purchase a pipe thread tap and brass reducer OR weld up a custom adapter (cheaper).

To avoid all that - Purchase the 4.6L Pacesetter set. Why get a 5four kit?

You want the "Quick Trip" Long Tube Set for 97-00 4.6L's -Part Number: P40702226 For proper EGR fitment. (there only $233). Here -

Really ? - Well that's conflicting. I guess it depends who you talk to there, I called them about a reducer awhile ago and I was informed you didn't need one when ordering the correct set. Why would we make one ?

Well , I don't know then, you might have to make one anyway. At-least the Pacesetter will fit - that's been proved. You still could have a EGR pipe issue.

The Pacesetters EGR port for the 5fours have a 3/4" pipe thread (19mm). You might end up with that.
