I am wondering...

i have a 2005 F150 and i am looking at getting the super44 from summit, let me know if this is a bad idea, and what size should i be getting? 2.5 or 3. i am looking at swapping out my stock muffler with a super 44 si so, how hard is it to just replace the stock muffler and put in the flow master? would there be any cutting involved?

Good choice with the Super 44. You will love it. I have true dualed Super 44s on my Chevy.

Stay with a 2.5", off set inlet would be good. I take it you are wanting to do this yourself, unless you have experience with exhausts, I wouldn't. Take it to your local shop, have them remove the OEM muffler ( thats all welded ) and install the new muffler and fab it to your existing tailpipe.

And if you wish, buy a bigger tip to help it sound deeper, and look better.

what would you think it would cost to do that, i know my local shop does the works for 350 for a single in duel out. i was just thinking since thats not true duel any how i would keep the normal exhaust and stay with single out and stock pipes to save some money.

Buy the muffler for $87 with ship, ooor you might be better off going to your local AutoZone and see what they would charge for a order. I called a month ago and they said $91 with tax, and considering buying online often adds a $10 ship charge.

Anyways $87 for the muffler, $40 for the exhaust shop labor, and $35 - $50 if you buy some kind of tip. A good tip that is, not a cheap chrome plated one that will rust out later down the road.
