Flowmaster Delta Flow - Rusting out

Hi so I decided on the SI/Do Flowmaster Delta Flow 50 series muffler, for my 4.6. When I called the mechanic and told him what I would like, he convinced me that these would rust out very easily in our area. I am from southwestren ontario, and we usually receive 4 months of snowy weather.

So my question is what your thoughts on this pipe was? Will it rust out quick, or will it last a long time? Should I take my mechanics word for it?
-What are some other pipes with the same sound as those pipes, but made differently?

Thanks for your help,
Carl

I have a very mild winter here, and the flowbastard rusted in under 2 years, they are not worth the $$$ IMO, go stainless, like magnaflow or borla.

The flowmaster will rust in a snowy area.

Magnaflows will develop some serious surface rust too. It wont rust all the way through, but it also wont look pretty.

If you are worried about rust I'd go with Borla, they use the highest quality stainless out there. It will also sound and perform great.
