Flowsound muffler

i put a Flowsound muffler on yesterday .. sounds just like a flowmaster
and looks the same (thickness of metal on outside and inside)
the shop i had it done at had both split in half and they are made exactly the same way and the best part is it saved me 100 bucks ... 250 installed
i went w/ the single in and duel out the back w/ no tips ... i didnt want the chrome tips and they didnt have any black and they said the black didnt hold up well .... i have read on the net that the $50 a piece black tips do well but i aint gonna pay that for them.... so i painted them black today ... i used a 1200 deg flat black header paint

Awesome! I too have the flowsound with the same set ip as you and I love it, great deep sound. The price I payed for with installation is awesome and would do it again. Tell me how it goes with your new muffler.

That's a great price! The local shop here uses the Flowsounds or Cherry Bomb extremes, your choice, but he wanted $400 for a similar setup to yours, extra for tips. I ended up in Raliegh, NC on vacation last month and my bro in law took me to a place called "The Muffler Shop". I got a Flowmaster 40 SIDO w/ 2.5" dual pipes out the back including 2.5 to 3.5chrome tips, all parts/labor for $320. If any of you live near there, I would highly recommend that shop. It's nice having your truck sound like a truck!

gr8hntr: I love the look of your truck, so much so, that mine will look alot like it very soon, except mine is black. Got the 2.5AS/3" AS block going in soon, and I am in the process of getting some 35" BFG Muds on the factory FX4 18's. WooHoo.
