Muffler or Catback?

I have 2004 supercrew 5.4 with an Airaid on it. Should I go with a muffler or catback? A friend wants to put a Cherrybomb muffler (vortex or elite) on, or should I spend a few more dollers and get magnaflow (muffler or catback)? I just want a little rumble and more horsepower. Thanks in advance.

The magnaflow I purchased were $52, so they are cheaper than most mufflers, but are long lasting stainless, and sound great. My vid is below of my setup, but I would say get a muffler, and depending on what you want, just put it in place of the stock muffler, and then place a tip at the rear. The factory pipe is stainless and mandrel bent. If you are looking for si/do or true duals, have a shop do the work, a crush bent aluminized pipe will be fine, unless you just have to have stainless mandrel bent tubing.

Take the affordable route & put a Magnaflow muffler on, single exit or dual, whatever you prefer, and have the tailpipes ran however you would like, and purchase your own tips. Thats the best way to go. Shouldn't run you more than $350 or so, vs a $500 cat-back that could have tips you dont want, tailpipe exit, or the muffler you even want.

& stay away from Cherrybomb. That stuff never lasts long.
