well im not a muffler pro but if ur just looking for sound then flowmaster would be a good choice bc of their chambered structure.. i like the flowmaster thats on my truck now but i have a dual catback... the 50 series delta flow has a nice sound.. not loud at all.. since ur just looking to swap out the muffler it wont be that loud anyway.. if i were to just swap my factory muffler, i would prolly like to go with flowmasters 40 series... check out there website.. they give u the layout on all their mufflers... from loudest to quietest.. and just remember the loudest (44 series) wont be crazy loud on ur truck since ur not doing anything else but will have a grumble.. other than flowmaster, magnaflow is good.. im going to be switching to their 14'', more for performance.. i believe the longer ones will be better for sound... but see what others say.. good luck.. let us kno what u get and how u like it.. enjoy.. TIM

18" Maggy swap here on a 4.6

First one is a cold start Maggy.

Cold start OEM followed by Warm start Maggy

If you want louder, a 14" inch should be a little louder.

Magnaflow 14 inch Is what I did to my truck. Single inlet duel outlet. I ordered mine from JEGS.

hey Vato, what kind of tip do you have on there?

I've been considering a 18 or 22" magnaflow swap from stock, but not sure what size/length tip to get.

thanks

No tip, just stock tail pipe. I wonder how much different it would sound if I did put a clip, or maybe even a turn down.

alright, I'm sold on the 18" maggy... do you have the 4" round, or an oval?

I'm thinking of getting 4x18" round, pn# 10426 I believe.

I have an oval one. I think it's a 5X11 from performancepeddler, $62 if I remember correctly.
