Another question (sorry for the thread hijack) What exactly does true duals consist of? Is it two mufflers? or does one muffler that is DI/DO count as true duals?
A di/do is true duals, and magnaflow even has one that has a built in x-pipe, I think its like $130ish, so not a bad deal for muffler and a x-pipe.

How much did it cost?
Are you going to exit out the back this time?

Mine is a single out the side in front of the tire.
I have been thinking about OBX headers and the Lightning exhaust.
I also have been thinking about a remote turbo.
Dont want to buy anthing yet.

Oh yea forgot to add the price. The x and magnapacks were $180, the tips were $90 installed(stainless pricing is outrageous) and $75 for all the fab work and letting me use their bender, wire, and gas plus two "sticks" of 2.5" tubing. So at $345 it was by far my most expensive setup, but has far outperformed the others and is about the best sounding.

That does sound good.
Alot to spend to cut off later.
Just asking, why turbo and not supercharger?
You could keep you exhaust setup and great sound.

I bought a catback system about 10 years ago and pretty much stock engine.
(K&N, Superchips)
I am going to keep my truck alot longer and would like more performance. I cant see spending 30,000 plus on a new one right now.
I'm not sure which way I want to go. As my funds are limited.
1. Procharger/Headers & Exhaust or
2. Remote turbo & Exhaust.

Why turbo and not supercharger?
Anyway you exhaust does sound good.

I never really looked at di/do as true duals. True dual is each manifold running its own system, and a single muffler pretty much eliminates the name of 'true dual' imo. True dual to me is two systems, two mufflers, two tips, and a h/x pipe connection in trucks cases. But if technically, true dual counts for di/do, sweet then

A comment on tips to someone that just thought they were for looks....

I too thought the same thing, but when I got my exhaust done (y-ed dualed and tipped) my exhaust man told me to come out and listen to the difference with no tips and then with tips on.

It was pretty unbelivable how much the tone changed with a 4 inch tips 24" long. I love my sound!

The whole purpose behind my truck build is to be different. I'm starting with a 4x4 Supercab, not the usual 4x2, and then also building a 4.6L, not a 5.4, everyone builds them as well. And the turbo just because almost everyone supercharges their F-150, hardly any turbo'd trucks. I love the blower whine and low end of a roots/screw, but love the stealth of a turbo setup, and love the sound of a wastegate. My truck will be done just to prove to everyone it can be, a 4x4 4.6L F-150, that runs circles around the diesels, outruns lightnings and embarasses mustangs with the same engine and 2000lbs less weight.
